Pulborough Brooks

Today our
University challenge team had to go to Television Centre on the South Bank, London, for the entrance exam and interview. The aim of this was to whittle the 130 teams that have applied down to 28 teams. We did pretty well (we think) and now we are waiting to hear if we are one of the lucky teams to go forward onto the TV programme. Beforehand, to clear my mind for the coming onslaught, I popped down to Pulborough Brooks for an early morning visit. The brooks are already very low on water but the hedgerows and trees are very lush and green. I headed straight to the hanger (my favourite hang out) and at one point I was surrounded by competing nightingales singing their hearts out. A great way to start the day!
