Scrapbook ~ Wildlife walks throughout the year During this walk we went in and took a really good nose around the new South Downs YHA at Itford Farm. It utilises the old farm buildings, stables etc as well as a large farmhouse. It's only been open 5 months and it looks fantastic. The kitchen and dining room are clean, spacious and well equipped, the lounge area is very comfortable and has a wood burner and there are several pods outside that are suitable for a weekend getaway. Gill was completely blown over by the place so we shall be booking a night there very soon. Another good point is that the previous tenants seemed to have a penchant for manure and the whole fram was always covered in the stuff A Weasel crossed the road just ahead of us at Glynde. It was carrying something very small in its mouth, possibly a prey item. Hummingbird Hawkmoths on the buddleias at Lewes golf course.
